An Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) is where neighbors have a voice in the decisions closest to home. The ANC weighs in on matters such as parking, sidewalks, public space, trash collection and proposed development. Commissioners listen to residents and bring their concerns to the DC agencies making those decisions. It’s government at a hyperlocal level, focused on the streets, blocks, and public spaces we share. Each ANC is divided into Single Member Districts (SMDs), and voters in each district elect one commissioner to represent them.

I’m running to represent ANC 2E06, the Georgetown SMD where I live.

Why? I care deeply about Georgetown and the everyday issues that shape life here. We share our historic neighborhood with visitors from around the world, and that brings both energy and pressure to our streets and public spaces. I’m someone who listens, brings people together, and follows through on practical solutions: clear sidewalks, better care for our public spaces, less traffic and parking pressure, improved rats and trash management, and thoughtful stewardship of Georgetown’s historic character.

Georgetown became a federally designated historic district under the Old Georgetown Act of 1950 and was later designated a National Historic Landmark in 1967. I believe we must uphold the protections that preserve its buildings, streetscapes, and sense of place while meeting the needs of the people who live and work here today.
